Welcome to my new website

I started Acorn & Amber in Sept 2024. In a strong response to releasing and letting go of a past connection to another business that transformed over the years, but had its roots in a past life when I owned a shop, then when I started teaching Yoga it was under the same brand.

Following a transformative journey to Peru in June 2024, I experienced a profound release and a thrilling urge to begin anew. Initially, I was uncertain about what this meant, but after spending a few months back home, I recognized the need to let go of the past—the business I started during my marriage to my ex-husband, which has evolved over the years along with its clientele. I felt compelled to release all of that and start fresh.

It's time for a new look, fresh content, and a brand-new beginning.

I am truly excited to expand and share my insights regarding plant medicines, as well as products and services that resonate with nature. I hope to create more PDF downloads and lots of visual content as well as offering my readings from my wooden hut. As a very creative person I don’t want to put limits on what kind of things I will sell on here but it will be nature based and inspired.

Thank you for being a part of this journey with me. Much love!

SOURCES OF INSPIRATION:
I just love flowers. Fresh and dry but more so flowers that don't look so ornamental. I prefer the loose wild type. Flowers are a massive inspiration to me, so much so I am a practising Herbalist and a student of herbalism forever. I am currently in my second year of study at the School of The Sacred Wild and am honoured to be mentoring the first year students and going for Year 2 Certification.

BRAMLEY HEDGE

ANOTHER inspiration to me are the childhood books I used to read...and still do. Bramley Hedge is an all time favourite of mine. its the pure escapism I feel when reading the seasonal stories, and the illustrations of Jill Barklem are unbelievably beautiful. I am transported always and love all the cottage-core details and her imagination was just wonderful. I love her warmth and that nostalgic feel you get when flicking through the Bramley Hedge series.

And of course Pinterest is amazing for inspiration and sourcing imagery and ideas. I can get lost looking down a rabbit hole of beautiful images and taking notes. Using different elements of sources of inspiration. From reading nooks, kitchen design, home of dreams and just visual heavenly content, these are all modern ways I source inspiration for projects in my home and for Acorn & Amber.

If you’ve read this far, thank you for being here.

Love
Marisela Xx
